Hypnosis Audio Guides

If you learn to read a hypnosis script, you can judge any hypnosis audio in about two minutes — including the ones hiding behind a nice voice and a marketplace thumbnail. Almost every session ever recorded follows the same four-part skeleton, and quality differences live in specific, checkable places.

The four parts

1. Induction (1–5 min). Gets attention narrowed and the body settled. Eyes-close instruction, breathing, sometimes fixed-gaze or counting. Check: does the pacing slow? A script read at conversation speed isn’t inducing anything. Vague “you feel so relaxed” instructions without something to do (count breaths, imagine a staircase) are filler.

2. Deepener (2–5 min). Stairs, an elevator, a path — ten steps down, deeper each step. Functionally a second induction that buys absorption. Check: the imagery should have moving parts you track (count the steps), not static scenes.

3. Suggestions (the middle, and the point). The actual work — quit-smoking identity language, pain reframes, rehearsal of the scene you came for. This is where scripts earn or waste the session:

4. Alerting (1 min). Counts back up, returns full alertness. Non-negotiable for daytime listening; sleep sessions replace it with permission to drift off.

How to judge a product from its page

Serious publishers show or describe their script structure; the structure IS the product. Reject anything that won’t say how long the suggestions section runs, leads with the voice talent instead of the content, or leans on subliminal/embedded claims — those are unfalsifiable by design.

One more filter: length honesty. A 20-minute session has maybe 8 minutes of actual suggestion work. “1000+ sessions” libraries are mostly the same generic middle with different titles; one well-targeted session beats twenty vague ones.

The guides on this site pick apart scripts topic by topic — see the list below — and if you end up writing your own (a legitimate option covered in the DIY confidence guide), this skeleton is all you need to start.
